Previously BWU has worked with Pyithu Hluttaw Region Representatives, local rights groups, heads of villages, village administrators and social sharity groups. Since BWU is also at the forefront of the fight for female garment workers’ rights, every year we organize a big campaign and events on labor day to raise the issue and for these events we collaborate with other groups who work for labor’s rights such as Cooperating Committee of Trade Union (CCTU), Confederation of Trade Union Myanmar (CTUM), Action Labour Rights (ALR), Farmer and Labor Activists Group (FLAG), Lets Help Each Other (LHEO) and Yaung Chi Oo Worker’s Association (YCOWA).
We also work with local authorities, policemen and law makers when hosting events in various parts of Myanmar.
